This Gangtok-Pelling-Darjeeling tour package includes all touristry attractions of the capital of the state of Sikkim, Gangtok, and the amazing hill station of Darjeeling along with the rustic natural beauty of the picturesque Pelling.
Being the largest city in the state, most of the attractions that make the state beautiful are just a few hours drive away here. As the evening dawns, you will be able to see the lights coming up and the markets getting lively with the locals coming out to shop and the many tourists flocking to M.G. Marg to spend a perfect evening. The most famous attractions that you will be seeing here are the Tsomgo Lake and the Baba Mandir with an optional tour of the famous Nathula Pass. Other day tourism destinations are also included in the package.
Pelling, situated at an altitude of approximately 6800 feet, offers a clear view of the Himalayan range with snow capped mount Pandim, Kumbhakarna, Rathong, Khangchendzonga, Zopuno, Shimbho, Narsing, Sinolchu etc. It is one of the exotic settlement with varieties of Rhododendron, Orchids, historical sites, short trek routes and wildlife. Its botanical and zoological richness is inspiring and the scenic view from the top of the ridge across deep valley to the heights of Kanchendzonga ranges is something that needs to be seen to believe. Yuksom, Ravangla, Rinchenpong and Namchi are some of the tourist spot nearby.
A transfer from Gangtok to Darjeeling will leave you in awe of the beauty of the place. Lined with tea gardens and surrounded by beautiful mountains, Darjeeling is one of the most favourite hill stations in the North East. A visit to Darjeeling is incomplete without a visit to the Tiger Hill & Batasia Loop. Other day tourism destinations are also included in the package.
The tour culminates with transfer to the NJP Railway station.
Transfer to Gangtok :
On arrival at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) or Siliguri / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP), Guests meet our representative, who will assist you to board your vehicle to Gangtok, situated at 5414 Ft /1650 Mts, 130 Kms, approximately a five hours drive & give you briefing about your tour .
Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, known as the Land of Monasteries, encases the beauty of both young and old. The pursuits of adventure is perfectly balanced by the peace and tranquility found here. Experience mystic rituals & religious festivals at an height of 1670 meters / 5480 feet / 125 km from sea. It is one of the most visited places in India.
It is one of the most beautiful and clean town with varieties of Rhododendron, Orchids and Butterflies.
The day would constitute a nearly 135 kilometers (approximately 5 hours) drive to check into the designated hotel. Evening would be for leisure exploration around M.G Road (Mall) or local Shopping center.
Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Excursion to Tsomgo Lake :
The morning breakfast shall be provided at hotel.
The day shall be for excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir nearly 40 kilometers from the city. The Tsomgo Lake is an oval shaped lake with a depth of nearly 50 feet. It is generally covered in snow for most of the year. This lake is home to the Brahminy Ducks & many other migratory birds.
An optional tour to Nathula Pass, which is a Pass to the Republic of China, is nearly 20 kilometers from this point.
Optional Nathula Tour, conducted at an additional cost, lies at 14140 Ft / 4310 Mts is a 20 Kms (one way) drive approximately one hour (1 hour) from Tsomgo Lake. Baba Mandir lies at 13100 Ft / 3994 Mts and is a 20 Kms drive from Tsomgo Lake.
After the tour, the Guests shall return back to Gangtok. Evening would be for leisure exploration around M.G Road (Mall) or local Shopping center.
Overnight stay at Gangtok.
(In case of Landslide or due to any other reasons if Tsomgo Lake is closed then an alternate sightseeing will be provided).
Nathula Pass is an Indo-China Border, controlled by the Indian Army, is situated approximately 20 Kms ahead of Tsomgo Lake at a height of 14140 Ft / 4310 Mts. The journey to Nathula Pass & Baba Mandir is same upto 16 Kms. At this point, the road divides into two, the right road takes one to Baba Mandir & left road takes one to Nathula Pass.
One can opt for Nathula Excursion by paying an additional cost which varies from month to month. Nathula Pass permit gets confirmed 24 hrs prior to the journey date & actualisation is subject to permit availability as it is allotted as per lottery. Nathula Pass is closed on Mondays & Tuesdays for tourists. Organizing the permit at the last moment is not possible. A clear window of 72 Hrs. with proper documents is required to process the permit.
There is no refund, in case the permit is confirmed by Sikkim tourism & due to whatsoever reason (Landslide, Heavy rainfall, VIP Movement, Health issue etc.) one is not able to visit.
Gangtok City Tour :
Morning breakfast -
This day is dedicated to the city tour of Gangtok which includes Hanuman Tok, Ganesh Tok & Tashi View Point, Research Institute of Tibetology (Closed on Sundays & Govt. Holidays), Do-Drul Chorten, Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom (Closed on Sundays & Govt. Holidays), Flower Show, Ban Jhakri Falls, Ropeway (Gangtok), and Himalayan Zoological Park.
After the city tour, the Guests are escorted back to hotel.
The evening is for leisure roaming around M G Road (Mall) or local Shopping center. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Shift to Pelling :
The Guests embark on a ride to Pelling, a tiny hamlet located in West Sikkim. During the journey from Gangtok to Pelling, the Guests have the option of taking a stop at Namchi where Guests can opt for sightseeing to Temi Tea Garden, Samdruptse & Siddheshwar Dham (Chardham). At the Siddheshwar Dham, one can see a replica of all the twelve Jyotirlingas and four Dhams and a 108 feet high statue of Lord Shiva.
On arrival in Pelling, you will be checked into the designated hotel for overnight stay.
Pelling Sightseeing :
Early next morning, the Guests are treated to the beautiful view of The Himalayan Mountain Range. During the first half of the day, the Guests have the option of visiting Darap village, Rimbi waterfalls, Khecheopalri Lake & Kanchenjunga waterfalls. In the second half, Guests can visit the Pemayangtse Monastery (one of the oldest monasteries in Sikkim), Rabdentse Ruins, and New Helipad Ground.

Transfer to Darjeeling :
After breakfast, our Guests begin their journey to Darjeeling.
Darjeeling was the Summer capital of the East India Company; it is a land of breathtaking beauty, from sloping tea gardens of the world famous Darjeeling Tea to the spectacular views of the Mount Everest, known as the Queen of the hills. It is also home to the famous World Heritage Toy Train of The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR). Also called the land of Sleeping Buddha, the spectacular view of the Himalayan range with the snow peaked Mount Kanchenjunga is one of the biggest tourist attractions of this region.
The Guests check into hotel. The evening is for leisure roaming around Mall or local Shopping center.

Darjeeling Sightseeing :
Early morning, at around 3:45 AM, Guests are driven to an height of 8482 feet / 2590 meters through primitive forests of oak & magnolia to Tiger Hill to experience the sunrise over Kanchenjunga Peak (subject to clear weather).
On the way back to Hotel, the Guests are driven to visit the Ghoom Monastery, Peace Memorial & Batasia Loop. The Guests are back to hotel for breakfast.
After breakfast & some comfortable rest, the next round of sightseeing comprises the city tour which includes Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursdays), the Ropeways, Tensing Gumpo Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center (Closed on Sundays), Tea Estate, Natural History Museum (Closed on Sundays) and Peace Pagoda.
After the city tour, the Guests are escorted back to hotel. The evening is for leisure roaming around Mall or local Shopping center.

Transfer to Airport :
The Guests start for Siliguri / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB).
